Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our Transmission and Distribution team in a hybrid role based in the UK or Ireland. You will work on groundbreaking HV substations and grid-scale power projects, shaping energy infrastructure from concept to energisation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Experience on HV projects, preferably with utilities or developers.
• Fluency in English and ability to work across multiple projects.
• Ideally Chartered accreditation or working toward status.

Responsibilities

• Produce primary plant layouts for HV substations.
• Produce equipment specifications for HV plant and associated equipment.
• Provide engineering design input to major infrastructure projects.
• Undertake an Owners’ Engineer role on HV substation/Cable and OHL projects.
• Provide HV design input to renewable energy projects (Battery storage, Solar, Hydro and Wind).
