Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with consultancy/contractor/utility in energy sector.
• Client experience with transmission utilities in UK or Ireland.
• FEED designer, detailed design or owner’s engineer experience.
• Experience at concept and FEED design stages for HV infrastructure.
• Experience in detailed design and design assurance.
• Understanding of AIS and GIS HV Plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Produce primary plant layouts for HV substations.
• Lead engineering design input to major infrastructure projects.
• Develop and review HV equipment specifications.
• Coordinate with technology specialists and external partners.
• Prepare tender specifications and evaluate tenders.
• Provide design assurance during tender and supplier meetings.
• Support construction with reviews and commissioning assistance.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Be a trusted partner to clients.
