Job description

The business is building a dedicated commercial capability aimed at the technology sector — selling its services into technology companies rather than relying on existing audit, advisory and delivery relationships to generate the work.

This is a new appointment. There is no incumbent and no established playbook. The person who takes it will define how the company goes to market with technology clients in Ireland.

THE MANDATE

In the first twelve months, this person is expected to:

  • Build and own a pipeline of new business among technology companies in Ireland — the multinational cluster and indigenous software businesses.
  • Originate opportunities across the technology and transformation portfolio: AI, cloud, cyber, data and large-scale change programmes.
  • Work with the alliances function so that vendor relationships translate into qualified opportunities rather than goodwill.
  • Convert relationships into signed engagements, and stay close enough to delivery that clients experience continuity rather than a handover.
  • Establish a repeatable commercial approach for the technology sector that the business can build on.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Origination
  • Identify, target and open technology accounts the business does not currently serve.
  • Build senior relationships with technology company leadership — CIO, CTO, CFO, COO and transformation leads.
  • Shape propositions with subject matter partners and take them to market.
  • Own qualification, proposal and pursuit through to signature.
Client ownership and delivery
  • Remain involved after signature as the client’s senior commercial contact.
  • Contribute to the shaping and direction of engagements alongside the delivery team.
  • Identify and develop follow‑on work within accounts already won.
Internal
  • Work across partner and practice groups to assemble the right capability behind each opportunity.
  • Bring market intelligence back into the practice — what technology buyers are actually purchasing, and from whom.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • A commercial track record built inside the technology industry — a major vendor, a systems integrator, or a consultancy selling to technology clients.
  • Demonstrable personal origination. Evidence of building a pipeline from a standing start rather than working an inherited or inbound one.
  • Experience selling complex, multi‑stakeholder engagements with long cycles and no product to demonstrate.
  • Credibility with senior technology buyers, and the fluency to hold a transformation conversation rather than a product one.
  • Currently operating at senior manager or director level, or the equivalent in a vendor environment.
Strong advantage
  • Exposure to launching or leading transformation programmes, commercially or in delivery.
  • An existing network among technology companies in Ireland.
  • Familiarity with vendor alliance and partner ecosystems, and how work flows through them.

Candidates must be eligible to work full time and long term in the location specified or currently hold a valid appropriate long term work Visa to apply.
