Job Purpose: To work as part of the Global Technology Team in identifying and winning high quality investments in line with the IDA strategy ‘Adapt Intelligently’ 2025-2029. The successful candidate will manage an existing portfolio and have a specific focus on the development and conversion of a New Name pipeline and will have a target to win New Name, Expansion, RDI and Training investments, with an emphasis on IDA’s priority regional locations. The role will also include the support of the Department’s marketing strategy through the development of subsector or functional value propositions and strategies.
Key Tasks: In line with IDA’s strategy targets and objectives, the key tasks will include:
- Working closely with the Global Technology team, in particular the Palo Alto office, supporting the identification and winning of New Name investment opportunities that meet Technology Department targets. This will include participation in marketing programs and representing IDA Ireland internationally at conferences and trade events.
- The development and management of a pipeline of New Name opportunities through stakeholder and company engagement, market research and the management of site visits in Dublin & the Regions to best position Ireland for new investment opportunities.
- The management of a portfolio of existing clients to support and protect existing operations and to identify and win expansion, RDI, Sustainability and Training investments that meet Technology Department Targets
- The evaluation, preparation and presentation of investment proposals to the IDA Ireland Board and internal Committees for all investment categories;
- The preparation and presentation of case studies and thematic papers to the Client Development Committee as required;
- Working with the wider Technology team to develop new sectoral and sub-sectoral strategies that will lead to the growth of the Department’s portfolio;
- Leading and contributing to the development of new value propositions for individual Technology industry sub-sectors and contributing to the development of new and refreshed marketing materials and presentations, with a focus on high potential growth areas and emerging technology trends in Silicon Valley;
- Representing Ireland and the IDA in the broader Technology industry working as a partner towards the achievement of organisational goals;
- Actively managing the sales pipeline on Salesforce by maintaining and updating information on opportunities with existing companies, target companies and key client contacts;
- Supporting the management of relevant events aimed at generating interest in investing in Ireland;
- Working effectively with other teams within IDA including the wider TCBS Division;

Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work well under pressure, flexibly as a member of a team and independently on own initiative in terms of time worked and tasks undertaken.
- Third level degree, to a minimum Level 8 on the National Qualification Framework is essential.
- This role may require international & domestic travel and flexible working hours.
- Experience in the area of preparing and delivering investment proposals and site visit itineraries is desirable.
- A full driving licence is essential.

Salary Scale: €53,071 to €76,227 per annum contributory superannuation.
Rising by long service increments to €78,059 (after 3 years satisfactory service at the maximum of the range. Annual Increments of €2,869 upon completing probation
