Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' experience in commercial insurance broking or underwriting.
• Proven experience managing complex commercial client portfolios.
• CIP qualification is essential.
• Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of Commercial Insurance products.
• Excellent understanding of the Irish commercial insurance market.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong, long term relationships with key commercial clients, acting as a trusted advisor on insurance and risk matters.
• Take full ownership of a portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring retention, profitability and opportunities for cross selling and up selling.
• Lead the end to end renewal process for complex commercial risks, including market engagement, placement structuring and negotiation of terms.
• Identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities in line with agreed revenue targets.
• Analyse client risk profiles and develop tailored insurance solutions aligned to their individual and evolving requirements.
• Leverage strong insurer relationships to secure competitive terms and appropriate cover for clients.
• Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, pricing dynamics, emerging products and developments across the Irish insurance market.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, company procedures and internal compliance standards.
• Act as a senior point of contact within the team, supporting and mentoring junior colleagues and sharing technical expertise.
• Provide market and client feedback to senior management, contributing to product development, service improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Lead client meetings, presentations, strategic reviews, renewal meetings and prospect pitches.
