Job summary

Avista is seeking a Resources Teacher for the Development Education Centre (D.E.C) on a fixed-term, part-time basis (32 hours per week) in Dublin. The successful candidate will join a team delivering education and health programmes to children aged 5-18 with complex needs, guided by Avista’s values and ethos.

You will work closely with families and the wider MDT, using person-centred approaches and professional behaviour to support individual plans and inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in the English language.
• Be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work on their own initiative.
• Be able to work effectively with families and the wider MDT.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team delivering a service based on each child’s/young person’s individual needs.
• Collaborate with families and the MDT to support inclusive education and health programmes.

• Hold a teaching degree recognised by the Department of Education and Skills.
• Be registered on the Teaching Council.
• Have previous experience of working with children with complex needs is desirable.
• Be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work on their own initiative.

• Be innovate, enthusiastic, and creative.
• Proficiency in the English language.
