Job summary

Avista Day Services Roscrea in North Tipperary/South Offaly is seeking a Care Assistant on a permanent, part-time and relief basis to support people with intellectual disabilities in a person-centred, community-based setting. Applicants should possess Level 1 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework.

Essential

• Minimum of Fully Completed FETAC/QQI level 5 qualification or higher equivalent comparable qualification.
• Full clean manual Irish driving license.
• Proficiency in the English language.

Desirable

• Experience working within the area of intellectual disability and of working with people who have a diagnosis of Autism and Behaviours of Concern.
• Desire to support people to live their best lives and commitment to promoting the active engagement and participation of Service Users in their local communities.
• Willingness to support persons to develop skills and competencies around identified areas of interest and learning.
