Job summary

The Fleet Hotel in Dublin is seeking a Reservations Executive to organise and run the reservations desk, overseeing all revenue streams and liaising with the GM and Revenue Manager. You will ensure accurate inventory and maintain a high standard of guest service.

With at least 1 year in a 4- or 5-star hotel, you will use HotSoft/Opera (advantage) and be proficient in Word and Excel. A professional telephone manner and calm under pressure are essential, with GDPR awareness and a focus on teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year’s experience in a similar role within a 4- or 5-star hotel.
• Computer literacy – Word, Excel.
• Proven track record in reservations or hospitality.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organisational and numerical abilities.
• Professional telephone etiquette.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Organise and manage day-to-day operations of reservations, overseeing revenue streams.
• Monitor and coordinate group reservations with GM and Revenue Manager.
• Liaise with housekeeping to ensure accurate inventory before guest arrival.
• Maintain full working knowledge of hotel reservation systems (HotSoft/Opera advantageous).
• Work with GM & Revenue Manager to meet budgets and forecasts for each segment.
• Review no-shows and cancellations per hotel policy.
• Contribute to rate configuration and frontend coordination with Front Office.
• Provide training on policies and procedures for new staff.
