We are seeking a strong and experienced Level 2 Deskside Engineer to join an established IT support team within a large organisation.
This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer who can hit the ground running, take ownership of Level 2 incidents and provide effective technical support with minimal ramp-up time.
The successful candidate will be providing face-to-face and remote support to end users across a Microsoft-focused environment. You will be expected to troubleshoot issues independently, work through incidents to resolution and confidently communicate with users and stakeholders at all levels.
This is not a role for someone who requires significant training or supervision. We are looking for an engineer with solid practical experience who can quickly understand an issue, identify the root cause and take the appropriate steps to resolve it.
The role requires 3 to 4 days onsite in Ballymany, Co. Kildare, with the remaining time worked remotely.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate more than simply having Level 2 support listed on their CV.
We are looking for an engineer who can clearly explain their technical experience, demonstrate how they have diagnosed and resolved real-world incidents, and confidently discuss the technologies and environments they have supported.
Candidates should be comfortable taking ownership of issues, asking the right questions, troubleshooting methodically and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong communication and the ability to confidently articulate your technical experience will be particularly important for this role.
The role will be based in Ballymany, Co. Kildare, with 3 to 4 days onsite each week and the remainder remote.
Candidates must be comfortable working predominantly onsite and able to commute to the location as required.
Full working rights in Ireland are required. Sponsorship is not available.
