Job summary

Primer is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Data team in a remote-first environment. You will own delivery end-to-end of the data platform, from streaming to warehousing, while coaching engineers and shaping the technical direction across Product, engineering, and finance teams.

You'll stay technically credible, guide ML initiatives as they mature, and partner with leadership to balance roadmap priorities with cost and performance in Primer's growing data ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a data engineering team delivering end-to-end data platforms.
• Strong ability to review streaming architectures and data models.
• Proven track record building data products with revenue impact.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery end-to-end of Primer's data platform, including streaming and warehousing.
• Coach and grow engineers, manage performance and career development.
• Review designs, ensure robust data contracts, and scale pipelines.
• Lead ML function delivery as it matures within the data org.
• Collaborate with Product and engineering leadership on the roadmap.
• Drive operational excellence and FinOps for data infrastructure.
• Balance cost visibility with performance and reliability.
