Job summary

SearchApi is seeking an engineering manager to own delivery end to end, enabling the founder to step back from day-to-day work. You run cadences, track every active project, surface risk early, and you're the first escalation point when something breaks. A Manager of One who creates Managers of One.

We are a lean, bootstrapped team delivering real products to customers. This fully remote role offers equity and profit sharing, with a focus on writing clear decisions and building high-trust teams.

Qualifications

• Shipped delivery improvements with before/after results.
• Technical enough to read plans/PRs and earn respect.
• Humane with data; use metrics to help people.

Responsibilities

• Run cadences: planning, standups, and retros.
• Track state of every project and surface risks early.
• Own delivery metrics: cycle time, review latency, reliability.
• Coordinate incidents and lead blameless RCAs that drive change.
• Grow the team through 1:1s, coaching, and a hiring pipeline.
