Noel Group is seeking Relief Chefs for Cork and the surrounding areas to cover weekend shifts, events and contract catering work. Roles are available for chefs at all levels.

Candidates will work with a dedicated consultant to manage their schedules and placement, with a focus on quality service, safe kitchen practices and flexibility.

Job description

Relief Chefs needed in Cork and the surrounding areas for weekend shifts.

We are looking for chefs of all levels for some varying roles throughout Cork. Weekend shifts are available for events and contract catering work.

Please note there is NO VISA OPPORTUNITIES with this role.

Candidates will have a dedicated consultant to manage their schedule, who will strive to place candidates in roles where they can excel and develop their skills.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

• To prepare food in the kitchen while maintaining a high standard of quality and cleanliness.
• To adhere to all health and safety guidelines while on site.
• To adhere to any SOPs set out on site.
• Assist with menu planning to ensure gross profit margin is achieved
• To ensure the highest standards in stock control, portion control and quality control
• Provide professional customer service when needed and respect to all other staff within the kitchen/restaurant.

Ideal Candidate

• 1-2 years proven track record in a professional kitchen working as a chef
• All relevant food safety certificates along with manual handling
• A passion for food and service
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work under pressure
• Have strong organizational and time management skills with a high degree of flexibility
