Job summary

WSP is hiring a Project Engineer to lead and deliver major infrastructure work on Ireland’s MetroLink programme. You will act as the technical lead for a section of the works, coordinating contractor design, construction activities, and interfaces to ensure safe, high‑quality engineering solutions from design through to handover.

You will collaborate with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders, supporting design reviews, risk assessments, and constructability reviews while maintaining records

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
• Proven track record in design and/or construction of major infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in underground works including tunnelling and rail projects.
• Experience with site surveys, inspections and asset condition assessments.
• Good knowledge of project controls, programme monitoring and technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractor design and construction activities for the Works.
• Act as technical focal point for design and implementation of a portion of the Works.
• Develop processes to ensure design to construction quality and consistency.
• Monitor contractor performance and progress against the programme.
• Review contractor design submissions, interfaces, and RFIs.
