Job summary

WSP is seeking a Technical Lead in Track for projects based in Ireland, with roles in Belfast, Naas or Dublin. You will lead track engineering delivery, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and drive safety and innovation across major infrastructure schemes.

The position requires extensive rail experience, lifecycle delivery capability, and registration with a professional engineering body. Hybrid working and global project exposure are offered.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering multi-disciplinary projects as Track Engineering Lead.
• Advanced knowledge of track engineering on heavy and light rail.
• Experience delivering projects with Iarnród Éireann/Irish Rail.
• Experience across full lifecycle from feasibility studies to detailed design and implementation.
• Strong understanding of CDM and other health and safety regulations, and safe by design techniques.
• Experience undertaking engineering roles such as CEM, CRE, DPE or PE, or equivalent.
• Chartered or incorporated registration with a relevant professional engineering institution.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and coordinate track engineering delivery and solve complex multidisciplinary problems.
• Manage client and stakeholder relationships to achieve project outcomes.
• Support major projects in Ireland and globally, including Dublin Metrolink.
• Set an example for health, safety and welfare on projects and instill a strong safety culture.
• Lead design coordination activities and promote digitalisation to aid delivery.
