FRS Recruitment is seeking a Junior/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor in Cork City. This role provides a clear path for career development within a busy commercial team handling major projects across Cork.

You will contribute to project cost management, subcontractor procurement, valuations and monthly reporting, with some travel around Cork City and County. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in QS, a QS degree, and strong communication and commercial

Qualifications

• 2+ years' Quantity Surveying experience in construction.
• Experience with Irish or UK main contractors preferred.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

Responsabilités

• Assist in managing project costs throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Support subcontractor procurement, tender assessments and package appointments.
• Prepare and review subcontractor valuations, variations and payment applications.
• Assist with monthly cost reporting, valuations and financial forecasts.
• Support cost-value reconciliations and ongoing project budget management.
• Work closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors and commercial management teams.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and project delivery teams.
• Gain exposure to contractual matters and subcontractor final accounts.

Quantity Surveyor (Tier 1) (V-8QVRD1) Cork City, Republic of Ireland

FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Junior / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor based in Cork City.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career with one of Ireland's leading Main Contractors, working alongside an experienced commercial team on major construction projects throughout Cork

The company have a very strong pipeline of ongoing and upcoming projects, covering a mixture of commercial, residential, pharmaceutical and large-scale construction developments.

The role would ideally suit a strong Junior Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career, or an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor seeking further experience on larger-scale projects.

The successful candidate will ideally have 2+ years' Quantity Surveying experience, preferably gained with a Main Contractor in Ireland or the UK.

The role will offer a mixture of office and project-based working, with some travel required throughout CorkCity and County.

Requirements

• 2+ years' Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry.
• Previous experience with an Irish or UK Main Contractor preferred.
• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Strong Junior or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor experience would be suitable.
• Experience on residential, commercial or pharmaceutical projects would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of subcontractor procurement, valuations and cost management.
• Strong communication, organisational and commercial awareness skills.
• Ambition to develop professionally within an established commercial team.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary ranging from €45,000–€75,000, depending on experience.
