Job summary

FRS Recruitment is seeking a Junior/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor in Cork City. This role provides a clear path for career development within a busy commercial team handling major projects across Cork.

You will contribute to project cost management, subcontractor procurement, valuations and monthly reporting, with some travel around Cork City and County. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in QS, a QS degree, and strong communication and commercial

Qualifications

2+ years' Quantity Surveying experience in construction.
Experience with Irish or UK main contractors preferred.
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing project costs throughout the construction lifecycle.
Support subcontractor procurement, tender assessments and package appointments.
Prepare and review subcontractor valuations, variations and payment applications.
Assist with monthly cost reporting, valuations and financial forecasts.
Support cost-value reconciliations and ongoing project budget management.
Work closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors and commercial management teams.
Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and project delivery teams.
Gain exposure to contractual matters and subcontractor final accounts.
