With a strong pipeline of major projects throughout Dublin and a significant investment in employee development, they are seeking an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to further develop their commercial, contractual and project delivery expertise within a collaborative and progressive construction environment.

The Role

Working as part of a highly experienced commercial team, you will be responsible for the cost and value management of construction projects from mobilisation through to agreement of final accounts. You will play an important role in supporting project delivery, managing subcontractor relationships, controlling costs and ensuring the commercial success of major construction projects.

The successful candidate will benefit from a structured development programme, mentorship from senior commercial leaders, and clear progression opportunities towards Senior Quantity Surveyor level.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the procurement process for specialist subcontract packages and making recommendations to senior project leadership.
• Assisting in the preparation and administration of subcontract agreements.
• Assessing, negotiating and settling subcontractor interim valuations and final accounts
• Reviewing design development information and identifying commercial implications for the wider project team.
• Identifying and advising on value engineering opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Preparing and agreeing monthly valuations with client representatives.
• Participating in monthly cost reporting, cost-to-value reconciliations, turnover reporting and project forecasting.
• Supporting the preparation and submission of final accounts to clients.
• Providing commercial and contractual support to project leadership teams.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

• Minimum 3 years' experience within a Quantity Surveying role in the construction industry.
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (Level 8 or equivalent).
• Proven experience managing subcontractor and client relationships.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and explain commercial reports clearly.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of commercial software such as Bluebeam, CostX or Cubit would be advantageous.
• Self-motivated, ambitious and career-focused, with aspirations to progress into a Senior Quantity Surveyor position.
