Job summary

Global Professional Consultants Ireland is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Dublin. The selected candidate will manage costs for a large-scale multi-million euro project and ensure budget compliance.

The ideal candidate will have experience with a Main Contractor, possess strong technical skills, and excellent communication abilities. An attractive salary package of €75k – €85k plus benefits, including a vehicle allowance, pension, and healthcare, is offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor with a Main Contractor.
• Strong technical understanding of quantity surveying practices, cost management, and contract administration.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Cost Management: Manage and control all project costs to ensure the project is completed within budget.
• Budget Preparation: Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates, ensuring accurate and timely budgeting.
• Contract Administration: Administer contract terms and conditions, manage claims, and negotiate variations and final accounts.
• Procurement: Oversee the procurement process, including the selection and appointment of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Valuations: Prepare and submit accurate monthly valuations, ensuring timely and appropriate invoicing.
• Reporting: Produce regular financial reports, including cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and profitability analysis.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor with a Main Contractor
• Strong technical understanding of quantity surveying practices, cost management, and contract administration.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.
