Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (3–4 years) to join its civil engineering team across Meath and Dublin, including a major project at Dublin Airport. You will manage budgets, cost plans and tender documentation while supporting subcontractor procurement and final accounts.

The ideal candidate has strong civil engineering experience, a degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline, and willingness to travel across Meath and Dublin.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction.
• Strong civil engineering experience is essential.
• Experience with main civils contractor or civils contractor.

Responsibilities

• Managing commercial and cost control across civil engineering projects

A well-established civil engineering contractor, with its head office based in Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with 3–4 years’ experience to join their team.

The successful candidate will work across a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Meath and Dublin, including a major project at Dublin Airport.

Responsibilities:

• Managing commercial and cost control across civil engineering projects
• Preparing budgets, cost plans, estimates and tender documentation
• Assisting with subcontractor procurement, negotiations and package management
• Managing interim valuations, variations, claims and final accounts
• Monitoring project costs, budgets, forecasts and cash flow
• Assisting with contractual matters and commercial reporting

Requirements:

• 3–4 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction
• Strong civil engineering experience is essential
• Experience working with a main contractor or civils contractor
• Proven experience across procurement, cost control and final accounts
• Good knowledge of contracts, valuations, variations and subcontractor management
• Excellent commercial, negotiation and communication skills
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel across Meath and Dublin
