Job summary

Global Professional Consultants are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering large-scale building projects in North Dublin. The role offers strong long-term progression within a well-established commercial team.

Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 Contractor delivering large-scale building and projects in North Dublin. This role offers strong long-term progression within a well-established commercial team.

Responsibilities

• Subcontract procurement and account management


• Preparation of cash flow forecasts and monthly project cost/value reports


• Budget control and commercial tracking of project performance


• Measurement and remeasurement of trade packages, identifying quantity discrepancies


• Preparation of tender enquiry packages in coordination with site and project teams


• Procurement of subcontractors in line with programme requirements


• Tender analysis and evaluation of returned submissions (ensuring compliance and accuracy)


• Value engineering and assessment of alternative materials and methods


• Liaison with design teams and project management on cost and variation matters


• Ensuring all contractual and compliance documentation is in place prior to appointment

Requirements

• Third-level degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline


• 5+ years’ experience with a main contractor in Ireland or the UK


• Strong commercial and contractual awareness


• Experience on projects valued at €10m+


• Excellent communication and negotiation skills


• Ability to manage multiple subcontract packages and deadlines
