Job summary

Salesforce Ireland is seeking a Business Development Representative to generate new business and whitespace pipeline through outbound prospecting across Public Sector and .ORG accounts. You will support inbound leads and nurture early-stage opportunities in government, nonprofit, and education sectors.

The role includes extensive training, onboarding, and mentorship to develop core selling skills and a deep understanding of our public sector customers and procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
• Experience researching, account planning, prospecting, and cold calling into a large list of new and existing accounts.
• Proven track record of achieving sales metrics and quota attainment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and across many parts of the organization.
• Degree or equivalent relevant experience required; fluency in English and an additional language, plus a valid working visa for Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business pipeline primarily through prospecting outbound opportunities across Public Sector OR .ORG accounts.
• Manage inbound leads driven by outbound efforts.
• Nurture early-stage opportunities within government, non-profit, and education accounts.
• Perform outbound cold calling to current Salesforce customers and new logos in assigned territory.
• Partner with core sellers to identify and source net new pipeline, researching lines of business and organizational structures.
