Zurich Insurance Europe AG, Ireland Branch is seeking a Property Claims Handler to join our Property Claims Team in Wexford. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of property claims with a proactive, customer-focused approach in a fast-paced setting.

This role involves phone-based notifications of loss, investigations, settlements, and negotiations, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships with customers, brokers, and service providers.

Qualifications

• Working towards APA qualification and pursuing CIP qualification.
• Previous experience in a similar role or on phones/public is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills focused on delivering quality service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to business changes.
• Compliance with regulatory requirements and company protocols.

Responsibilities

• Handle first notification of loss calls by phone.
• Investigate, validate and settle a range of property damage claims.
• Negotiate fair settlements in line with company standards.
• Liaise with customers, brokers and service providers by various channels.
• Take ownership of enquiries to deliver a focused claims service.
• Review and finalise claims within authority limits.
• Gather evidence to assess claim value and detect potential fraud.
