Job summary

Hickey's Pharmacy in Tallaght is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a 24-hour (3-day) permanent position. The team includes a Retail Store Manager, Supervising Pharmacist, 1 Relief, and 3 Technicians.

You will prepare and dispense medicines under pharmacist supervision, manage stock, and support the dispensary with accuracy and care. Newly qualified technicians are welcome, with experience in a busy dispensary considered an advantage.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is advantageous.
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate is advantageous.
• Newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• Prepare and dispense medicinal products under supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Control stock levels and order medicines as required.
• Prepare blister packs and process and track claims.
• Report to and support the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

The Responsibilities Of The Role

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Requirements

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with McLernons MPS (an advantage).
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies an advantage
