Job summary

Hickeys Drogheda Pharmacy in Drogheda is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a 16-hour, 2-day permanent position. The store operates from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday, with Sundays closed. The role involves preparing and dispensing medicines under pharmacist supervision and assisting with stock control.

Newly qualified technicians are welcome; experience with McLernons MPS and an IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with McLernons MPS (an advantage).
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies an advantage

Responsibilities

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our Hickeys Drogheda Pharmacy.

This is a 16-hour (2-day) permanent position with the store's with the stores opening hours operating between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday, closed on Sunday.

The team currently comprises a Store Manager, an Assistant Store Manager, 1 Relief Pharmacist, and 3 Technicians.

This store has manageable items and services.
