Job summary

Howden Ireland, based in Drogheda, is recruiting a Personal Lines Account Executive to manage policy renewals and grow the client base. This permanent role reports to the Team Leader and heads of existing business, emphasizing client satisfaction and tailored insurance solutions.

The candidate will enhance relationships, handle renewals, assess risk, and identify new business opportunities while adhering to compliance and group standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years' experience in an insurance role.
• APA Personal Lines or Grandfathered with proof of CPD up-to-date.
• Excellent technical product knowledge of personal lines insurance.
• Proven track record managing a portfolio of clients, renewals and inquiries.
• Strong negotiation skills for favorable client/company outcomes.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships for retention.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with existing clients and foster long-term loyalty.
• Oversee renewal process for personal lines policies and negotiate renewals.
• Evaluate risk profiles and advise on suitable products and coverage.
• Provide excellent client service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
• Achieve New Business/Renewal targets and support product development.
