Job summary

The House Hotel in Galway is seeking a friendly, professional Bartender to join the team on a part-time basis. You will deliver high-quality drinks and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Ideal candidates will have bar or hospitality experience, strong communication, and the ability to handle payments accurately. You will work evenings, weekends and bank holidays, maintaining standards and helping the team ensure a superb guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in bar or hospitality preferred.
• Excellent communication and guest service.
• Ability to handle cash and operate POS.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, friendly and professional service to all guests.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, beers, spirits and other beverages to a high standard.
• Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene.
• Handle cash and card payments accurately and follow hotel procedures.
• Complete bar opening and closing duties.
• Assist with stock takes and minimise waste.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service at all times.
• Handle guest requests professionally and resolve issues promptly.
• Work closely with the wider hotel team to ensure a smooth guest experience.
• Support the team during busy periods, events and functions.
• Follow all hotel health & safety, HACCP and company procedures.
