Job summary

Mount Juliet Estate, a Marriott Autograph Collection property in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, Ireland, is seeking a Night Porter. You will provide exceptional guest service, communicate across departments, and maintain high service standards throughout the night shift.

Be committed to personal development, enjoy working as part of a team, and participate in fire, health and safety and first aid training. A full clean driving licence is advantageous and prior experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Previous similar experience is advantageous.
• Full Clean Driving Licence may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent communication with all departments.
• Maintain a high standard of service.
• Handle, follow up and communicate any comments or complaints.
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests and address questions promptly.
• Ensure tasks are completed on shift and handover is thorough.
• Report maintenance or security issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Attend fire, health and safety and first aid training.
• Be passionate about hospitality and work well in a team.
• Set up and break down of function rooms.
• Support management with reasonable requests.
• Work reliably on your own and with others.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure excellent communication with all departments.
• To maintain a high standard of service.
• Handle, follow up and communicate any comments or complaints.
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests by answering questions, addressing concerns, and fulfilling requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure that all tasks are completed on each shift that a full and thorough handover takes place at the end of the shift.
• Report any maintainence or security issues to appropriate personnel.
• Attend all fire, health and safety and first aid training
• Be passionate about hospitality, and thrive on working as part of a team
• Set up and Break down of Function Rooms.
• Be committed to their own personal development.
• To Assist Management with any reasonable request.
• Be comfortable working on their own and as part of a team
• Previous similar experience is an advantage.
• Ability to use own initiative
• Friendly outgoing personality and excellent customer service skills
• Full Clean Driving Licence
