Job summary

Windward Management is seeking a dedicated Night Porter for Aghadoe Heights Hotel & Spa in Killarney. You will help ensure the security of the property overnight, perform cleaning duties and assist guests with late-night needs.

The role is a full-time night shift offering a friendly team environment and opportunities for career progression within Windward properties. One year's experience in a similar role is desirable and a strong hospitality mindset is essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure hotel security overnight with regular checks.
• Carry out overnight cleaning for all guest areas to high standards.
• Complete deep-cleaning schedules and keep records.
• Attend to guests' needs and maintain high customer care.
• Prepare and serve night room service; assist bar when required.
• Prepare lobby areas for opening; keep areas clean and guest-ready.
• Handle administrative tasks like reports and guest registrations.
• Ensure front-of-house areas are presentable and litter-free.
• Collect waste and maintain storage areas; report issues promptly.
• Provide porterage services when required.

Join our fabulous team at Aghadoe Heights Hotel & Spa as a Night Porter.

Role and Responsibilities:

• To ensure that the security of the hotel is maintained overnight, conducting regular fire, health and security checks.

• To carry out comprehensive overnight cleaning duties throughout the hotel, ensuring all public, guest-facing and back-of-house areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

• To complete daily and periodic deep-cleaning schedules and maintain accurate cleaning records and checklists.

• To be available to attend to guests' needs and ensure the highest standards of customer care at all times.

• Prepare and serve night room service, ensuring the kitchen is cleaned and left to the required standard.

• Provide Bar Service/Residents Bar to guests when required outside regular opening hours.

• Prepare lobby and pre-function areas for opening, ensuring they are clean, fully set up and guest-ready.

• Administration as required, including printing reports, preparing and filing guest registration cards, and filing room service dockets.

• Ensure all front-of-house areas are clean, presentable and free from litter at all times.

• Collect waste and recycling and maintain all storage and service areas in an orderly condition.

• Report maintenance issues and health and safety concerns promptly.

• Provide porterage services when required.
