Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited is recruiting a National Sales Manager for Flooring & Interiors to lead a four-person field sales team across Ireland, selling carpet tiles, LVT and related floor coverings.

You will mentor staff and build relationships with architects, designers and specifiers while supporting contractors and distributors. This role targets commercial offices, healthcare and student accommodations with significant growth potential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of managing field sales professionals.
• Experience in flooring or interior building products preferred.
• Experience with specification field sales to architects/interiors.
• Ability to mentor and train a sales team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of four field sales professionals covering Ireland.
• Sell flooring solutions including carpet tiles, safety tiles, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), mats and other floor coverings.
• Target commercial office projects predominantly, with some healthcare and student accommodation.
• Develop joint visits with architects/interior designers and other specifiers (60%), and with main contractors and distributors the rest of the time.
• Responsible for a team turnover of approximately €7m.
• Full responsibility for managing, mentoring, training and motivating the field sales team.

Areas to be covered: Ireland

Remuneration: Up to €85,000 basic + €100,000 uncapped OTE

The role of the National Sales Manager Flooring will involve:

• Field sales management position, overseeing a team of four field sales professionals covering Ireland
• Taking the lead with key accounts as well supporting the team in selling our clients manufactured range of flooring solutions, including: carpet tiles, safety tiles, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), entrance matting, floor coverings etc.
• Targeting general/ commercial office predominantly but also some private medical, student accommodation etc.
• Joint visits with architects and interior designers and other specifiers (60%) and the remainder of time with main contactors, sub contractors and distributors
• You will be responsible for a team turnover of approx. €7m
• Full responsibility for managing, mentoring, training and motivating the field sales team

The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager Flooring with:

• A proven track record of managing field sales professionals (open to just a couple of hires)
• Ideally from flooring, but open to most interior building product backgrounds
• Must come from and understand specification field sales
• Contacts within architects and interior designers or main contactors, sub contractors and distributors may be beneficial
• Natural leader, mentor and trainer
• Ability to think strategically
• IT literate
