Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited is seeking a Specification Sales Manager for Joinery Door Sets to develop and manage specification field sales across Ireland, with access to Dublin. You will target architects, engineers and design teams, while building relationships with housing developers to secure new business.

The role focuses on selling a range of pre-hung door sets and related products, with a goal to generate €3-5m in orders over the first two years and to deliver CPDs as part of the sales

Qualifications

• Proven track record in construction product specification sales.
• Experience building relationships with architects, engineers, fire engineers, consultants and design teams.
• Residential housing project experience and ability to engage housing developers.

Responsibilities

• Sell a manufactured range of pre-hung door sets and doors for joinery projects.
• Develop relationships with architects, engineers, fire engineers, consultants and design teams; engage housing developers.
• Create an order bank of €3-5m over the first 2 years of employment.
• Deliver CPDs to clients and design teams.
• Collaborate with regional sales, estimating and technical teams.

The role of the Specification Sales Manager – Joinery Door Sets will involve:

• Specification field sales role selling a manufactured range of pre-hung door sets as well as our clients’ own range of doors and fire doors


• Focussed on developing relationships with architects, engineers, fire engineers consultants and design teams as well as some housing developers


• New business role, you will be the 1st dedicated specification field sales hire


• Targeting predominantly the residential market (e.g. housing schemes of 600-1500 houses or apartment blocks of 300-15000 bedrooms)


• Our client is also interested in breaking into projects for education, healthcare and commercial


• Tasked with creating an order bank of €3-5m over the first 2 years of employment


• Delivering CPDs


• Working closely with the regional sales, estimating and technical teams

The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager – Joinery Door Sets with:

• Proven track record in construction product specification sales


• Must have a demonstrable track record of building relationships with architects, engineers, fire engineers consultants and design teams as well as some housing developers


• Specific knowledge of doors, fire doors, joinery, ironmongery or related building products would be advantageous


• Commutable to Dublin (where 80% of the clients are based)


• Must be technically savvy


• May consider UK based specification sales professionals wiling to relocate to Dublin


• Preferably sold residential projects, but open to experience within; commercial, healthcare and education


• New business hunter (ability to generate and engage with business partners to build new business)


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to execute an effective sales strategy
