Job summary

A leading independent financial services firm in Drogheda is expanding its mortgage team and seeks a Senior Mortgage Advisor to own the full mortgage journey from initial client meeting through to approval and drawdown.

You will work with a diverse client base including first-time buyers, movers, switchers, self-builders and investors, while developing relationships with estate agents, solicitors and accountants to grow the business.

Qualifications

• QFA qualified and CPD compliant.
• 3–5+ years' experience as a Mortgage Advisor.
• Proven track record of mortgage sales and BD targets.
• Strong knowledge of Irish mortgage market and CP Code.

Responsibilities

A leading independent financial services firm is expanding its mortgage team and is looking for an experienced Senior Mortgage Advisor to join its Drogheda office.

This is a senior role for an advisor who can take ownership of the full mortgage journey, from the initial client meeting through to approval and drawdown. You will work with a diverse range of clients including first-time buyers, home movers, switchers, self-builders and property investors.

You will also play an important role in developing relationships with professional introducers, including estate agents, solicitors and accountants, helping to generate new business and strengthen the firm's presence in the local market.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, impartial and compliant mortgage advice tailored to each client's individual circumstances.
• Manage the complete mortgage process from initial fact-find through to approval and drawdown.
• Complete all required KYC, AML, affordability and suitability assessments accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a busy pipeline of mortgage applications, ensuring cases progress smoothly and within agreed timelines.
• Build strong relationships with estate agents, solicitors, accountants and other professional introducers to generate new business.
• Develop and maintain a strong personal network and consistently achieve agreed sales and revenue targets.
• Keep fully up to date with mortgage products, lender criteria, rates and changes within the Irish mortgage market.
• Support and mentor junior advisors and administrators, sharing knowledge and helping to improve team performance.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure all client documentation and regulatory requirements are fully up to date.

What We're Looking For

• QFA qualified and fully CPD compliant.
• Ideally 3-5+ years' experience as a Mortgage Advisor, preferably within a broker or independent financial services environment.
• A proven track record of achieving mortgage sales and business development targets.
• Strong knowledge of the Irish mortgage market, lender criteria and the Consumer Protection Code.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
• Commercially driven, ambitious and comfortable developing your own network of clients and introducers.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle, as the role will involve occasional meetings with clients and professional introducers.
