Job summary

ESB in Ireland is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead onshore wind projects, delivering electrical scope from concept through handover. You will manage tenders, supervise design reviews, and coordinate with clients, contractors and OEMs to ensure project success.

The role requires a background in HV power and renewable projects, with strong leadership and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years post-graduate electrical experience in HV power industry.
• Proven ability to deliver electrical scope for HV substations or renewable projects.
• Understanding of Tendering processes in renewable projects.
• Knowledge of construction and commissioning for substations and EBoP works.
• Strong safety awareness including HV safety, PSDP and PSCS.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and feasibility for onshore wind projects.
• Manage tender documents and evaluate submissions against project requirements.
• Administer D&B or EPC electrical contracts throughout the lifecycle.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive outcomes.
• Oversee health, safety, and quality compliance on site and in design reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop team capability.
