Job summary
Suir Engineering Ltd in Ireland is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join an EP&R project in Leinster. The role focuses on HV/LV design, protection coordination, arc flash analysis, and commissioning of GIS/AIS substations on-site with clients and the design team.
You will prepare technical specifications, manage procurement, supervise technicians, and contribute to safety and quality across projects.
Qualifications
- Third level degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years’ experience as an Electrical Project Engineer in HV Energy and Renewables.
Responsibilities
- Development and review of schematic drawings and single line diagrams.
- Develop HV system studies including protection coordination, arc flash, voltage regulation, load flow and fault level reports.
- Pre-commissioning and commissioning of GIS and AIS Substations.
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments.
- Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate engineering work and projects.
- Liaise with clients and the design team on technical issues.
- Manage technical queries on site and support handover of systems.
