Job summary

Vantage Resources in Dublin is seeking a Lead Field Engineer to deliver deskside, field-based and remote IT support for a public sector client. The role is a hybrid, contract position with 1 day onsite per week in Dublin.

Responsibilities include resolving 2nd line ICT incidents, supporting Microsoft 365, Windows 11, and remote device management, and coordinating with 3rd line teams. Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-user computing environments including desktop/laptop hardware and Windows operating systems.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 apps, Intune, Autopilot and remote/hybrid work environments.
• Hands-on deskside, field engineering and end-user support experience.

Responsibilities

• Accept, diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex 2nd Line ICT incidents.
• Provide deskside, remote and field-based support for end-user devices.
• Support Microsoft 365 apps and Windows environments.
• Escalate and coordinate incidents with 3rd line support teams.
• Support endpoint compliance, security remediation and conditional access.
• Assist with asset management and maintaining configuration records.
• Support hybrid and remote workers through remote troubleshooting and cloud-based device management.
• Maintain detailed ticket updates and incident resolutions.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
