Vickerstock are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business based in Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Food Science or a related discipline.
• Experience in a food manufacturing laboratory.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret data and maintain accurate records.
• Proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Carry out chemical and physical testing of raw materials and finished products.
• Complete routine testing of effluent and boiler water.
• Conduct species and mineral testing where required.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and analytical reports.
• Monitor and trend out-of-specification results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration and verification.
• Manage laboratory stock and ensure materials are available.
• Support cleaning validations and quality record reviews.
• Assist with shelf-life extensions and ongoing Quality projects.
• Ensure the laboratory remains compliant and audit ready.

Vickerstock are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business based in Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a Food Science qualification and laboratory experience to join an established Quality Team within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

The Role

Working within the on-site laboratory, you will carry out testing of raw materials and finished products, maintain laboratory records and equipment, and support the wider Quality Team with food safety and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out chemical and physical testing of raw materials and finished products.
• Complete routine testing of effluent and boiler water.

• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Flexible and willing to learn and adapt to new processes.
