Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced QC Technician for a well-established food manufacturing company in Athy, Co. Kildare.

The successful candidate will join the Quality team supporting laboratory testing, raw material approvals, product quality checks, and ongoing manufacturing trials. The role includes routine QC testing, testing materials against specifications, maintaining records, and supporting HACCP, GMP and GLP.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Food Science, Chemistry, Quality, or related discipline is essential.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in wet chemistry/bench testing within food, beverage, manufacturing, or laboratory environments.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Strong communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine QC laboratory testing including Brix, pH, turbidity, and related wet chemistry analysis
• Testing incoming raw materials and finished products against specifications
• Maintaining accurate laboratory records and documentation
• Supporting HACCP, GMP, and GLP compliance activities
• Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Managing retained samples, COAs, and laboratory inventory
• Assisting with continuous improvement activities within the QC function

We are currently recruiting for an experienced QC Technicians on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing company based in Athy, Co. Kildare.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturing site specialising in juice powders, flavourings, and ingredient solutions supplied to major food and beverage companies.

The successful candidates will join the Quality team supporting laboratory testing, raw material approvals, product quality checks, and ongoing manufacturing trials.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine QC laboratory testing including Brix, pH, turbidity, and related wet chemistry analysis
• Testing incoming raw materials and finished products against specifications
• Maintaining accurate laboratory records and documentation
