Greyhound Commercial is looking for a Junior Transport Coordinator to join the Commercial Logistics team. Greyhound Commercial is looking for a Junior Transport Coordinator to join the team!

The Role:

This is a fast-paced, customer-focused role within our Commercial Logistics team, combining customer communication, operational coordination and administration. Working from the daily operational plan, you will liaise with customers by phone and email, maintain accurate information within our EleMos system, and ensure all planned activity is followed through and has a clear outcome.

The role operates around key daily deadlines, including the morning planning process and the 4pm confirmation deadline. You’ll need to be highly organised, confident and professional when communicating with customers, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment.

As you develop in the role, typically within the first one to two months, you will also begin providing scheduling cover during periods of annual leave and absence. This offers a clear opportunity to build your operational knowledge and develop your skills in transport planning and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and close out all planned jobs in EleMos each day, ensuring any incomplete jobs have a clear and accurate reason recorded.
• Review the daily ring-ahead and at-risk lists each morning, proactively contacting customers to resolve any outstanding issues.
• Contact customers to confirm next-day jobs and ensure any changes or updates are accurately recorded in EleMos by the 4pm deadline.
• Manage customer bookings received by phone and email, ensuring all information is entered accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer, job and container records.
• Work closely with the wider Commercial Logistics team to identify potential issues early and help keep daily operations running smoothly.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a customer service, coordination, dispatch, logistics, transport or operations support environment. Around 1–2 years' experience would be beneficial; however, we are also open to strong entry-level candidates who demonstrate the right skills and attitude.
• Confident and professional communication skills, both over the phone and in writing, with the ability to proactively contact customers.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to data entry, ensuring bookings, job details and container records are accurate.
• Highly organised and dependable, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to daily deadlines.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify potential issues and escalate them early where required.
• Comfortable using Microsoft 365, particularly Outlook and Excel, and confident learning new operational systems.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday, with Saturdays worked on a rota basis.
• Previous experience in transport planning, scheduling, dispatch or haulage.
• Experience within the waste, recycling, transport or container logistics sectors.
• Previous experience using EleMos or a similar job-management, logistics or planning system.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm, plus approximately 1 in 3 Saturdays on a rota basis.

€30,000–€35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
