Job summary

All-Star Logistics Ulc in Ireland seeks an experienced Transport Manager to lead day-to-day transport operations. You will manage drivers, rostering, and fleet planning to deliver a safe, efficient and customer-focused service.

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will ensure regulatory compliance, monitor KPIs, coordinate with customers and internal teams, and drive continuous improvement across the operation.

Qualifications

• Transport Manager CPC / Certificate of Professional Competence.
• Minimum 3 years' relevant transport experience.
• Proven experience managing drivers, staff and rotas.
• Strong knowledge of transport operations, fleet management and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day transport operation and driver workforce.
• Prepare and manage driver and staff rotas for resource planning.
• Coordinate transport plans to meet customer requirements and SLAs.
• Deal promptly and effectively with driver, staff and customer issues.
• Ensure compliance with RSA, transport, regulatory and health & safety requirements.
• Oversee vehicle checks, maintenance, repairs and the effective management of vehicle defects.
• Ensure transport paperwork, timesheets, PODs are completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor customer KPIs and overall transport performance, taking action where required.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, suppliers and internal departments.
• Manage and supervise transport staff, promoting effective communication and teamwork across the operation.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, fleet utilisation and transport costs.
• Assist the Logistics Manager with transport projects, process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.

We’re looking for an experienced Transport Manager to join our growing Logistics & Transportation business and play a key role in our next stage of growth.

From dedicated transport solutions to 12,000-pallet warehousing, light sub-assembly and pallet/tote wash operations , we provide a broad range of services to our customers.

Reporting to and working closely with the Logistics Manager, the Transport Manager will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management of our transport operation, ensuring the delivery of a safe, efficient and customer-focused service.

The role will involve managing drivers and rotas, coordinating vehicles and transport planning, resolving customer and staff issues, maintaining regulatory and operational compliance, and ensuring agreed service levels are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day transport operation and driver workforce.

• Transport Manager CPC / Certificate of Professional Competence.
• Minimum 3 years' relevant transport experience.
• Proven experience managing drivers, staff and rotas.
• Strong knowledge of transport operations, fleet management and compliance.
• Experience working with customer SLAs and KPIs.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using transport or logistics management systems is desirable.
• Good commercial awareness with a strong customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced and hands-on environment.
• A proactive approach with the ability to prioritize workloads and respond effectively to operational challenges.
