Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking an IT Support Specialist in South Dublin for a hands-on, client-facing role within a growing MSP. You’ll be the first point of contact and escalation for clients, handling real projects and day-to-day support.

Key responsibilities include administering Azure, M365, Entra ID, and networking, delivering cloud migrations, and implementing security and device management across client environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a MSP environment.
• Hands-on with Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Windows Server, Windows 10/11 deskside support, SonicWALL firewalls and networking.
• Experience setting up security with Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365 and Intune.
• Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong organisation and prioritisation in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
• Methodical fault finding; able to explain issues to non-technical users.
• Full clean class B driving license and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for client technical queries and issues, remotely and on site.
• Review the service request queue, decide what to escalate or close, and ensure requests are answered quickly and correctly.
• Maintain and improve internal and client infrastructure, including Azure, Microsoft 365, networking and security.
• Deliver cloud migrations from on-premises to the cloud.
• Build Azure environments, including virtual servers, Site-to-Site VPNs, Azure SQL databases and Entra ID.
• Roll out Microsoft Intune (MDM).
• Build SharePoint sites and advise end users on best practices.
• Deploy Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Office 365.
