Job summary

FRS Recruitment is partnering with a leading international engineering business to recruit a Technical Sales Manager for Ireland. This consultative, field-based role focuses on developing relationships and delivering solution-led sales across industrial environments.

You'll own an established customer base, identify opportunities, engage with engineers and senior decision-makers, and work with internal teams to tailor technical solutions. Autonomy and a strong commercial mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience selling technical products and solutions.
• Ability to understand customer requirements and translate into opportunities.
• Confidence engaging with engineers and other technical decision-makers.
• Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing projects, specifications, or longer sales cycles.
• Commercial awareness and proactive pipeline development.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Building and developing strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
• Identifying opportunities to grow key accounts and develop new business
• Understanding customer requirements, challenges and technical specifications
• Recommending appropriate technical solutions based on customer applications
• Engaging with engineers, electrical contractors, consultants, procurement, operations, IT and senior decision-makers
• Managing opportunities from initial discussion through to quotation, negotiation and close
• Working closely with internal engineering and technical teams to develop the right solution
• Managing your territory, pipeline and customer activity with a high degree of autonomy
• Developing long-term strategic customer relationships
