You will contribute to the commercial management of major construction projects, from procurement through to final account, including valuations, variations, cost reporting and subcontractor liaison.

Candidates with façade/building envelope experience and a track record in value engineering will thrive.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying (BSc or MSc) required.
• Minimum 3 years of Quantity Surveying experience.
• Façade/building envelope experience highly desirable.
• EU/Irish working rights.

SSA is recruiting an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a specialist façade contractor for a position based in Cork.

About the role: This is an excellent opportunity for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join an experienced commercial team and work across a range of façade packages on major construction projects.

You will be involved in the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account, including valuations, variations, subcontractor management, cost reporting and working closely with the wider project team.

Candidates with previous experience working within the façade, curtain walling, glazing, roofing or building envelope sectors would be particularly well suited to the position.

Position requirements:

• BSc / MSc degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• 3+ years Quantity Surveying experience
• Previous façade / building envelope experience is highly desirable
• Specialist subcontractor experience would be advantageous
• Strong knowledge of valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts
• Strong commercial and communication skills
• Valid working rights within Ireland / Europe
