Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join its Dublin-based team. You will craft SOPs and technical content for HVAC manufacturing programs, publish in DITA XML, and work closely with manufacturing and product teams.

The role involves hands-on creation of illustrations and collaboration within a DocOps environment. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in technical writing, strong English communications, and experience with SOPs and content management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of technical writing experience
• Experience with SOPs, preferably DITA XML
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Mentoring experience and sharing knowledge is valued
• Document control and revisioning in content management or version control systems
• Knowledge of scripting languages, APIs, SQL is desirable

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with manufacturing teams in Dublin, onsite up to 4 days per week
• Create content for a business unit supporting program releases
• Draft standard operating procedures based on HVAC manufacturing processes
• Author content in DITA XML and using content management systems
• Produce technical illustrations
• Provide DocOps support to process teams
