Job summary

WSP is expanding its Electricity Transmission & Distribution service in Ireland and seeks an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Dublin, Naas or Belfast. You will work within a multidisciplinary group delivering power transmission infrastructure for Net Zero targets and contribute to ongoing projects and client engagements.

You will lead development of electrical deliverables, review designs, manage design risks, and collaborate with civils, cables, and primary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with significant post‑graduate experience in electrical design, operation, maintenance or testing.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards IEng/CEng and member of a relevant Engineering Institute.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority across protection and control engineering and support multidisciplinary integration.
• Deliver projects across feasibility to detailed design stages.
• Prepare electrical deliverables including SLDs, cable calculations, plant layouts and BOMs.
