WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Protection & Control Engineer for the UK & Ireland Energy team in Ireland. You will work within a multidisciplinary group to deliver power transmission infrastructure supporting Net Zero targets.

Formación

Minimum HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering.
Proven experience in protection and control scheme design.
Knowledge of Electrical Networks and engineering standards.
Experience interpreting technical design documentation.
Familiarity with substation control equipment (ABB/Hitachi/Siemens/GE).
Experience with IEC 61850 and IEC 60870.

Responsabilidades

Design protection and control systems for electrical power transmission and distribution networks.
Create detailed drawings, specifications and design docs using AutoCAD and ETAP.
Perform technical calculations to ensure reliability and performance of protection systems.
Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety and environmental guidelines.
Conduct site surveys and gather data for design work.
Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to integrate design requirements.
Review design modifications and provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
Conduct design reviews and QA checks for accuracy.
