Job summary

WSP is seeking a Cable Systems Engineer in Ireland to deliver HV and EHV cable systems for power transmission and distribution projects. You will work with a growing team, applying CYMCAP analyses and ensuring conformance with IEC/CIGRE standards, while collaborating with project managers, manufacturers and clients across diverse energy networks.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, design reviews, and involvement in FAT, site testing, and commissioning, with opportunities for career growth

Qualifications

Design, specification, manufacture, testing and implementation of HV/EHV cable systems.
Experience across HVAC projects; HVDC exposure advantageous.
Knowledge of IEC standards and CIGRE guidance related to cable systems.
Experience FAT, site testing, commissioning and witnessing cable operations.

Responsibilities

Design and develop HV and EHV cable systems for power transmission and distribution projects.
Produce engineering deliverables, calculations, specifications and reports.
Collaborate with project teams to deliver cable system projects.
Support HVAC, HVDC and interconnector projects across onshore/offshore contexts.
