Job summary

Stantec Ireland is seeking an Electrical Engineer specializing in high‑voltage cable design to support the delivery of major infrastructure and renewable energy projects across Ireland. You will contribute to HVDC interconnectors, offshore and onshore wind, substations, and grid connections.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team from FEED to delivery, mentoring junior engineers and applying international standards for utility clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Membership of professional body (EI) is preferred.
• Experience in civil substation engineering and HV transmission projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high‑voltage cable systems for major Irish infrastructure and renewables projects.
• Support and lead design activities from feasibility/FEED to detailed design and delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to resolve complex technical challenges.
