Job summary

Nicholas O'Dwyer Ltd seeks an entry-level HR assistant to support recruitment, employee engagement and HR operations from our Dublin area offices. The role requires meticulous attention to confidential information and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

The position offers exposure to onboarding, payroll coordination, document management and GDPR compliance as part of the HR department’s daily activities, with opportunities to develop core HR skills.

Qualifications

  • A third-level qualification in Human Resources, Business, Administration or a related discipline, or working towards an equivalent qualification.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in administrative, customer service or office-based roles is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases with accurate documentation.
  • Assist with onboarding activities and induction programmes.
  • Support recruitment, pre-employment screening and references.
  • Manage documentation for employment permits, visas and right-to-work checks.
  • Coordinate HR communications and internal updates, and assist with audits and data quality initiatives.
