The Tower Hotel & Leisure Centre, Waterford is seeking a Duty Manager to join our team. This full-time role reports to the General Manager and Operations Manager and oversees the running of key hotel functions.

You will supervise daily operations, maintain service standards, lead staff, assist with training, and help manage events while ensuring health and safety standards are met. Night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' supervisory experience in hotel/hospitality.
• Excellent guest care and service skills.
• Mature, positive and pleasant manner.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily operations of the hotel and assist in departments when necessary.
• Maintain service and product standards across the hotel.
• Manage and support team members, ensuring adherence to policies and excellent service.
• Assist in training, ensuring training is documented and staff development is supported.
• Have knowledge of operating AV equipment, air conditioning and lighting in all departments.
• Anticipate guest needs and proactively manage their expectations.
• Promote employee morale and pride within the team.
• Ensure prompt resolution of guest issues.
• Oversee events, conferences, or group bookings.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
• Handle emergencies or maintenance issues and resolve them efficiently.
• Carry out night management shifts on occasion.
