Job summary

Trim Castle Hotel is seeking a Duty Manager to lead hands-on hotel operations across Food & Beverage, conferences, banqueting and front-of-house. The role requires ensuring smooth, guest-centric service and coordinating multiple departments to uphold the hotel’s high standards.

You will support managers, maintain safety and quality standards, and mentor staff. A flexible, full-time schedule across a 7-day week is expected, with focus on delivering excellence in hospitality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role in a 4/5-star property.
• Excellent customer focused manner at all times.
• Proactive positive attitude and strong strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Understanding of Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH legislation.
• Good eye for detail and ownership to resolve issues.
• Flexibility with working hours; full-time over a 7-day week.
• Proficient PC skills/MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Hands on experience in hotel operations, specifically Food & Beverage, Conference & Banqueting and Front of House.
• Fully responsible for all aspects of smooth operations in all departments.
• Support all departmental managers.
• Ensure premises are in operative condition to serve guests with service excellence.
• Provide professional, friendly and courteous service to all guests.
• Welcome guests warmly and deal with them efficiently.
• Liaise with and assist departments as required.
• Inspect stores to check stock quality, par stock levels and expiry.
• Monitor inter-department coordination for smooth operations.
• Identify staff learning needs and assist with development.
