The Address Sligo invites applications for a Duty Manager to ensure smooth operation across all hotel departments and maintain the highest standard of guest service.

You will lead front-of-house and back-of-house teams, coordinate with the General Manager, oversee shifts, stock checks, and safety compliance, and resolve guest issues professionally.

Experience in hospitality, a proactive approach, and a commitment to training are essential for success in this fast-paced role.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at work on time in the correct uniform and in line with grooming policy.
• Liaise with the manager on the prior shift and hand over to the on‑duty manager at the end of shift.
• Liaise with the General Manager on day‑to‑day hotel operations.
• Offer help, supervision, and guidance to departments (F&B, reception, accommodation) with a proactive approach.
• Communicate the hotel's services to guests during check‑in and throughout their stay.
• Occasionally carry out shifts within hotel departments as required.
• Assist the heads of departments to ensure smooth running and ongoing training to standards.
• Monitor staffing levels with department heads to meet budgets and service standards.
• Assist in weekly stock counts for laundry, alcohol, food, and cutlery/crockery.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and courteously.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
• Comply with fire, health and safety, hygiene and security regulations; perform routine fire walks and checks.
• Ensure all cash handling procedures are followed.
• Be prepared to work in other areas as requested by management; ensure HACCP systems on shift.
• Comply with all company procedures and policies.
